Summer of 2010, 9 A.M. The weather in the Smoky Mountains in the North Carolina was breathtakingly beautiful. That morning cool breeze brushed past my face and bloomed into a thick fog behind me. The sunshine still passed through the fog like a child weaving through transparent silky curtains. On a great plateau among the Smoky Mountains lied a lonely dirt road with wooden fences overlooking a great open field, and at the end of the road stood a sunlit tree.
